LNP83 PTE. LTD. (UEN 202624637N, 8 Temasek Boulevard #42-01 Suntec Tower Three Singapore 038988, hereinafter the “Company”) operates “Reading Your Love” website and related services (hereinafter the “Service”).
This Privacy Policy explains how the Company collects, uses, discloses, retains and protects personal data in connection with the Service, as well as the rights that users may exercise.
The Company complies with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and, where mandatory data protection laws apply in a user’s place of residence, may ensure the rights provided under those laws.
The Company may process the following information provided by users or generated in the course of their use of the Service, to the extent necessary.
The Company does not directly collect or store full card numbers or payment method details. Such information is processed by Stripe, the payment service provider, in accordance with its own policies.
The Company processes the personal data it collects for the following purposes.
In accordance with applicable law, the Company processes personal data on grounds including the performance of a contract, the user’s consent, the legitimate interests of the Company or a third party, and compliance with legal obligations.
The Service may automatically process information entered by users to generate readings. It is not used for the purpose of making decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects on users.
If a user enters their date, time or place of birth through a Service app provided on an external AI service (currently ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Claude (Anthropic)), the Company uses that information only to calculate the result of that request (the temperature and humidity figures) and does not store it. Anything the user enters into that AI service is processed in accordance with that service provider’s own privacy policy.
If a user enters information about another individual, the user is responsible for having lawful authority to provide that information to the Company and to use it within the Service.
The Company processes such information only to the extent necessary to generate the readings requested by the user and provide related services.
Anything the user writes about the other person is used only to generate the reading and is stored and deleted together with the reading record.
The Company may disclose personal data to the extent permitted or required by applicable law for compliance with the law, responding to legal proceedings, protecting the rights and safety of the Company, users and third parties, preventing misuse, or carrying out corporate transactions or organisational restructuring.
The Company may also entrust the processing of personal data to providers of services such as hosting, databases, authentication, payments, email delivery, network security, social login, advertising performance measurement (advertising platform, currently Meta Platforms, Inc.), usage analytics (currently Google Analytics by Google LLC), error monitoring and service stability management (currently Sentry by Functional Software, Inc.), and customer inquiry classification, reply drafting and the rewriting of reading text to fit the user’s situation (currently OpenAI OpCo, LLC; for rewriting, situation input and the original reading text are transmitted, while nicknames and dates of birth are not), to the extent necessary to provide and operate the Service. These providers process personal data for purposes permitted under their contracts or applicable law and only to the extent necessary.
Because the Company uses internationally available cloud, payment, email and security services, personal data may be processed in Singapore or in other countries where processors and subprocessors operate. Advertising measurement data may be transmitted to advertising platforms (currently Meta Platforms, Inc., United States). Usage statistics may be transmitted to Google LLC (United States), and error information to Functional Software, Inc. (United States). Customer inquiry content may be transmitted to OpenAI OpCo, LLC (United States) for inquiry classification and reply drafting, and situation input and the original reading text for rewriting readings.
When transferring personal data internationally, the Company takes reasonable steps to ensure that the data is protected by using measures required by applicable law, such as contractual safeguards.
The Company retains personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected.
As a general rule, account, profile, reading and Carrot usage information is retained for as long as the account is maintained. Once an account deletion request has been completed, the relevant personal data is deleted or rendered non-identifiable. Birth information entered through an app on an external AI service is discarded as soon as the calculation is complete and is not retained.
However, payment and transaction records, materials relating to disputes, security logs and similar information may be retained separately for as long as necessary to comply with applicable law, prevent fraud, protect rights and resolve disputes. Of these, records relating to consumer complaints or dispute handling are retained for three years in accordance with the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. Information remaining in backups is deleted in accordance with the regular backup replacement cycle and, until deletion is complete, is used only for recovery purposes.
To the extent recognised by applicable law, users may request access to their personal data and information about its use, correction of inaccurate personal data, withdrawal of consent, suspension of processing and deletion of personal data. Users may also make inquiries or lodge complaints with the Company or the competent data protection supervisory authority regarding the Company’s processing of personal data.
Users must give the Company reasonable notice when withdrawing consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. Even after consent is withdrawn, processing permitted or required by law may continue. If the processing of necessary information is stopped, the Company may be unable to provide all or part of the Service.
The Company may verify a user’s identity and request additional information to the extent necessary to handle such requests. Where permitted by law, the Company may charge a reasonable fee or restrict or refuse requests that fall within statutory exceptions.
The Service uses cookies and similar technologies required for login, session persistence, payment processing, security and network protection.
The Service may also use measurement tools provided by advertising platforms (currently the Meta Pixel and Conversions API) to measure advertising performance. Through these tools, the facts of a page visit, sign-up completion, checkout initiation and purchase completion, together with the payment amount and currency, are sent to the relevant advertising platform; for members, the email address and account identifier are sent only in an irreversibly hashed form. Names, birth information, reading content and IP addresses are not sent.
The Service also uses an analytics tool (currently Google Analytics) to understand how the Service is used. It collects pages visited, time spent, device and browser type, referral source, and approximate location (country or city level); original IP addresses are not retained. An error monitoring tool (currently Sentry) collects, only when an error occurs, the error details, the page address where it occurred, browser and device information, and a record of screen navigation immediately before the error (with on-screen text masked). Neither tool transmits your name, birth information, or reading content.
The advertising measurement and analytics tools above are not used for visitors from regions that require prior consent, such as the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
Users may block cookies in their browser settings or manage personalised advertising in each platform's ad settings (Meta: facebook.com/adpreferences). You can opt out of Google Analytics collection with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
The Company implements reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to reduce the risk of unauthorised access to, use, alteration or disclosure of personal data, or its loss or damage.
However, no method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.
The Company may amend this Policy to reflect changes to the Service or its business operations. Changes that materially affect users’ rights will be communicated before they take effect through notices within the Service or other appropriate means.
The amended Policy takes effect on the effective date indicated at the top of this Policy. A user’s use of the Service after changes to the Policy constitutes acceptance of the amended Policy.
The Company has designated a Data Protection Officer (DPO). Please direct inquiries regarding personal data processing and related rights to the DPO at support@readingyourlove.com.
